Interwoven is the debut collection by Lierre Sauvage, featuring ten hand-felted acoustic artworks that examine the patterns of connection, tension, solitude and interdependence.

At the material level, it refers to the felting process itself: the interlocking of individual wool fibres under sustained pressure until thousands of single strands become inseparable from the whole. At the conceptual level, it proposes that relationships between people, between states of being, and between the self and its environment.

The ten works are formally distinct but thematically continuous. Each addresses a specific relational condition: the negotiation between proximity and distance in Dots; the productive collision of incompatible forces in Whisper; the reciprocal tension of attraction and resistance in You & I. Others turn toward sensory and temporal experience: Tthe unrepeatable quality of natural phenomena in Blossoming, the atmospheric register of seasonal transition in Start of Spring, the liminal stillness of early morning in Morning Sky. Taken together, the works explore how beauty emerges from elements that might as easily have remained apart.

Every work is hand-felted from 100% natural sheep wool with a sound absorbing wool core, mounted on a handcrafted solid oak shadow frame.
