handmade acoustic art

One vision.
No shortcuts.

Studio Lierre Sauvage was born from an understanding equally obvious as overlooked: A room should feel as good as it looks.

Our journey started with a conversation between an architect and a product designer. About the experience of spaces, about the influence of sound, about what it means to chose and live surrounded by things made with intention. We distilled our ideas and knowledge down to their essence and knew that we needed to take action. What

followed  was  months   of  trials and errors, mock-ups, meetings and discussions until the road for our first acoustic artworks was paved. Now our focus lays on composing and hand-felting the canvases, producing the integrated acoustic panels and shaping and refining the floating oak frame until our unique and functional artworks come to life.

They proof and represent our core value, that art is not only seen - but felt with all of our senses. Made to enrich your space and calm your senses.

Honest materials
that complete
your home.

We believe in the longevity and proven benefits of natural materials, which is why we use sheep wool and wood as the main components of our acoustic artworks. Sheep wool fibre is one of the most effective natural sound-absorbing materials – not because of chemistry or engineering, but because of its structure. Each fibre is irregular and alive with tiny air pockets that catch, slow down and dissolve sound waves before they can bounce back into your room. The handcrafted real

floating oak frame acts as a protective border while elevating and highlighting its unique qualities. When added to a refined home the result is a space that breathes. Conversations that feel cleaner. Music that sounds fuller. The background hum of everyday life becomes quiet allowing us to rest and focus.

Nature rarely overcomplicates things. We try not to either.

Our first limited collection "interwoven"

“interwoven” is inspired by one of the most fundamental forms of natural movement.

It is the driving force behind the growth of plants, the oceans waves and whole landscapes thus shaping and enhancing every single one of our lives for as long as we can remember. While invisible to our eyes, we perceive it through the smell of fresh cut grass, the rustling of leaves or the taste of salt when gazing into the ocean.

This collection is inspired by the wind.

Its shapes and forms are translated

into abstract fragments using a minimal color palette of white, shades of blue and a hint of ocher. They are brought to life using the ancient technique of felting and stretched onto an acoustic panel made of sheepswool and wood. Our eyes are soothed by the color blue and invited to follow the fragments floating and dancing. Our ears are comforted by the absorption of disturbing echoes lingering in our home.

Hand-felted from 100% natural sheep wool, only originals, no reprints.
